JE11%20Poster.jpg

This is a reminder that the 5th Annual Japan Experience Home-Stay Program is again running this year, from July 31 to August 13.

In addition to the great cultural activities normally planned, we are adding a trip to Hiroshima and a visit to Tokyo Disneyland as well.

This program is perfect for students who want an in-depth, hands-on cultural exposure to Japan, especially if they plan to study or work in Japan in the future.

Application deadline is June 15!

New Student arrives from Australia!

20110512jessica.jpg

After months of waiting I’m finally in Japan!!!

Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m from Australia. I actually finished high school last year however I’ve decided to take a gap year and come to Japan to learn more about the culture and language at Seiritsu Gakuen. Since I came to Japan 2 years ago for the Japan experience I wasn’t as surprised by things such as the millions of cats, high tech toilets and vending machines as far and the eye as see… as much.

However one of the things that I’ve noticed is that even though I’ve been learning Japanese for 5 years in school I still don’t understand enough to have a conversation with the people in my class. Most of the time I just nodded and pretend to understand what people were saying, unless they ask me a direct question but hopefully my conversation skills will get better and I can come back home and amaze everyone.

I’m really looking forward to exploring and seeing more of Japan, not to mention buying really cool manga supplies that are impossible to get in Australia.

Speak soon, Jessica.

90% foreign students return to Japan, tourism back to 70%!

20110511_replace.JPG

Good news to report.

A recent survey came out stating that 90% of current foreign students have returned to Japan to continue their studies.

This coincides with tourism rebounding to 70% of pre-March 11 levels.

At Seiritsu we can also report that some of our international students have either returned, never left or new ones have arrived.

More on our new students soon!
