We have been holding our trial lessons this month. Usually we hold the sessions in March but this year we wanted to try doing it in February. The kids are still excited about learning and school and not so worried about their new schools yet.
Moving up to elementary school is a big step. We hope we can help some kids make the transition nice and smooth.
Good luck!
Plum blossoms (Ume in Japanese) are popular flowers which bloom before cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms usually bloom near the end of March and the plum blossoms from the end of February to the middle of March.
While cherry blossoms are the most famous, plum blossoms can also be breathtakingly beautiful and, if you can visit Japan during this time frame, incredibly memorable. You are just less likely to sit under them and spend hours admiring their fleeting beauty.

So today we had a bunch of snow fall but everyone was already at school. And then it started to rain so it was a normal school day but we had snow as well. So it was not a normal "snow day" - where everyone gets the day off of school. It was a fun day with snow.
Here you can see a couple of the students running out at break time to play in the snow.
The last term tests start next week for Seiritsu students. We hope all students can come away feeling they made progress this year, and even if you don't, the next year (in the next grade, or univeristy) can always be time for a reset.
It is time again for students all across the country to challenge the tests for the school that they wish to attend. It is a big deal here and there are even big brand products and companies that get involved.
We hope the students who wish to join our "family" are successful in their attempt!
Our Zebra after school classes are still going strong. The kids love the lessons and the teachers enjoy teaching them.
We will be having some trial lessons this month for the kids finishing up kindergarten and moving onto elementary school in April.
We are looking forward to having some new friends join us in the after school classes.
