Scarlett's Favourite Place to go during Summer in Tokyo
Japanese summers are incredibly hot and humid. So during them, I like to escape the busy city and find a nice cool place to relax.
This summer, I found my perfect spot. It is called Akigawa Valley. Here you can hike, go to the onsen and swim in the river.
I usually go there in the morning and hang out in the water all day and have a picnic with my friends. You can even jump off the high rocks!
It only takes around one hour from Shinjuku on the Chuo line, with one quick transfer at Haijima. Then you can walk or take the bus to the famous spot. It is easy to find because the Ishibunebashi Bridge runs over the top!
