Japanese Garden in Cowra Australia

Did you know that there is a piece of Japanese land in Australia? I mean, an actual area of land that is considered to be "part of Japan." It is located in Cowra. It is a very important cultural heritage that is deeply respected. It is a key part of our homestay visit every year. We take students in the activity group out to Cowra to visit the POW site, the Sakura avenue, the cemetery, and the Japanese garden and cultural centre.

With the current global pandemic, the Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre has seen a dramatic drop in visitors and started a fundraiser to help offset their costs. Our school has made a donation and we wanted to introduce the gofundme page here so that other people can also consider adding a little support as well.

It is a wonderful little place to visit!
We wish them all lots of luck with the fundraiser.
