Eiken preparation

Even if your English skills are not very good, if you are well prepared you still have a very good chance to pass. Practice makes perfect. Find a teacher or tutor to help you understand the strategies and you can do it!

Eiken - do your best!

It's Eiken interview test season again. Remember, taking the test with a human interviewer and by computer (CBT) is a very different experience. Be prepared. Preparation is by far the most important.

Good luck, and don't be nervous!

Zebra and junior high Halloween lessons

Next week we will have a bunch of Halloween lessons for the students in our Zebra program as well as the junior high.

This is always a fun time of year. Even though we will have to take extra precautions, we will still find a way to enjoy the season and share a bit of fun culture with all the students.

Are you going to do anything for the Halloween season?

Pen and sword in accord

There is a famous Japanese saying by Miyamoto Musashi that means "Pen and Sword in accord" and is used in many ways. In many schools, especially our school, it is used to promote both studying hard and also doing their best in a club.

This year, to help the students overcome various troubles related to the pandemic, we have started a new push to promote doing and enjoying both their club and their studies.

The clubs are trying to build up their levels of excitement.
The students are also being encouraged to attend our in-house after hours study service. It is called STSC.

We hope this helps the students get the most out of their time at school.

Studying in Japan next year

Thinking about a 1 month study abroad experience in Japan? Or maybe year? Or somewhere in between? Regardless, now is the time to start planning. Japanese schools, following the government's lead, are easing off pandemic precautions slowly and just beginning to consider students from abroad again. Seiritsu Gakuen is no different; and the better you start contacting the more information we can share and the more options we can consider.

Term tests are approaching

I am not sure what most schools overseas are like but, here in Japan, many schools and most students take their exams quite seriously. Many classes will put up a small sign somewhere in the room to show the time remaining before they start.
Here at Seiritsu, we sometimes put up a big sign in a hallway.

This sign shows that we have 7 days before our term tests start.
Good luck to all the students!
