Scarlett explores Japanese kissaten

This year I have been visiting many Japanese, traditional style coffee and tea shops. They called 'kissaten'. They began in the Showa Era when Japan began to have a strong influence from the West and so their interiors are loosely inspired by American diners and European-style cafes.

You can buy many different things to eat and drink from them. They usually do various sandwiches and exciting drink options. My favourite things to buy there are ice-cream sodas and egg sandwiches.

Have you ever visited a kissaten? Would you like to go?
