Christmas in Japan grows

Christmas in Japan continues to grow in popularity.

While it was first introduced hundreds of years ago, it only started to pick up shortly after the second world war. Even then, it was not very big. There were some Christmas cakes and a few other traditions being brought in but not too much. Once KFC started their promotions for having chicken, it picked up a bit more.

But these days, it is everywhere in the capital. Most stores have Christmas decorations and music playing in the background. On top of that, many stations are decorating with lights and other festive displays.

If you happen to visit during the holiday season, you will be treated to some wonderful displays!
