New Year's money
The start of the new year brings many interesting customs and traditions for us to learn and experience. One of these is the tradition of giving money to children on New Year's day. This money is called Otoshidama.
The money is normally given in envelopes. You can see some envelopes that are being sold at a nearby convenience store.
